Angry tears welled in Elizabeth's eyes as she recalled last week, when everything had started. It had all happened so innocently. A harmless flirtation with Devon in chem lab that had grown into a full-blown love affair. She had never meant to hurt Todd, but she hadn't been able to control her heart.

When her twin sister, Jessica, had found out about Elizabeth and Devon, she'd freaked. Jessica had wanted Devon for herself and had seen an opportunity to get revenge on Elizabeth by setting up Courtney Kane with Todd. Courtney--tall and curvaceous, with shiny mahogany hair and eyes the color of smoke was one of the biggest snobs Elizabeth had ever met. A student at posh Lovett Academy, Courtney had tried to steal Todd from Elizabeth before and had been only too happy to try to steal him again.

At first Elizabeth had felt a twinge of jealousy when she learned about Todd and Courtney. But then she had reasoned that if she was seeing Devon, Todd should be able to see someone too. When she had asked Todd to meet her at the Dairi Burger this afternoon, it had been to tell him how happy she was that he'd found someone. She had wanted to tell Todd it was OK for him to give Courtney the beautiful silver ring he'd bought for the anniversary of Elizabeth's first published story.

Elizabeth grimaced as she recalled the hopeful, pained look in Todd's eyes when he'd given her the ring. It had been a lovely gesture. Ever since Elizabeth was a little girl, it had been her dream to be a writer. Getting her first article published in Sweet Valley High's student newspaper, the Oracle, had been a major event for her. But because she had started seeing Devon, she hadn't thought it was right to accept Todd's anniversary gift. Still, she cared about Todd. She had wanted to tell him that at the Dairi Burger--to ask him if they could still be friends.

"But Jessica had other plans," Elizabeth mumbled to herself as she paced. She and Todd had talked for a long while, a conversation full of feelings and memories that had reminded her of why she loved Todd in the first place. She'd begun to wonder if maybe Todd hadn't been right for her all along. As they had become more comfortable they had started to talk about the past week. Eventually she and Todd had put two and two together and realized Jessica had been behind the whole Courtney scheme.

It was at that moment that Jessica, Devon, and Courtney had stormed into the Dairi Burger. When Devon had seen Elizabeth with Todd, he'd lost it, and so had Todd. Devon, in a rage, had told Todd to leave Elizabeth alone. Todd, believing he was losing his one chance to get Elizabeth back, had dropped to his knees and proposed to her, offering her the silver ring to seal their engagement.

After that the situation had truly spiraled out of control. A shoving match had begun, and before Elizabeth had known what was happening, Devon and Todd had started fighting like a couple of Neanderthals. Elizabeth had begged someone to stop them--had even gotten bruised herself trying to break up the fight. It was humiliating and horrible. How could both of them be such immature animals? she had asked herself as she ran from the Dairi Burger. Todd, who was always so warm and considerate, Devon with his sensitive nature and brilliant mind.

Elizabeth flung out her hand angrily, knocking a slew of Todd's cards to the floor. It's all Jessica's fault, she told herself. If she hadn't brought Devon and Courtney to the Dairi Burger, this would never have happened. Jessica had done some pretty sleazy scheming in the past, but nothing this hateful.

Tears welled in Elizabeth's eyes, blurring the gifts and cards. She could never forgive Jessica for this--never! The tears came harder, and she flung herself onto the couch. Upstairs she could hear the shower running in the bathroom she and Jessica shared. The thought of Jessica going nonchalantly about her daily life after what she had done just made Elizabeth cry harder.

Burying her head in a throw pillow, Elizabeth wept her heart out. Suddenly through her sobs she heard the phone begin to ring. Her parents were out. She and Jessica were alone in the house, and Jessica would never hear the phone over the shower.

Elizabeth considered just letting the voice mail system take the call. But what if it's important and the caller hangs up before the voice mail answers? she thought. Swiping at her tears, she ran to the hallway and grabbed the receiver. "Hello?" she said in a shaky voice.

"Liz, finally!" It was Devon. "I've been trying to reach you all afternoon," he said. "I needed to tell you--"

Elizabeth cut him off. "There's nothing you can tell me I don't already know," she cried angrily. Then she slammed the receiver down, her tears breaking loose in a cascade of confusion and pain.

Sobbing, she ran upstairs toward her room. Jessica was just coming out of the bathroom. Her wavy blond hair was wrapped in a thick pink towel. She was wearing a fluffy white bathrobe and matching slippers, smiling contentedly as if everything was absolutely fine. Elizabeth shot her a furious look. "I hope you're happy" she yelled. Then she ran into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her before she threw herself across the bed.

Liz made her decision

I thought that it was really sad that Liz didn't take Todd back and I'm glad that Devon,finally, saw how much Liz loves Todd but why did Liz choose to be alone than to keep Todd I mean Todd is so sweet ok so I admit it that sending flowers,candy and cards is like buying back the relationship but it is also thoughtful and nice so why did Liz choose what she did I mean everyone knows that Liz can't live without Todd and be alone so in SVU she is but they are still friends in it and it was Todd who said that he didn't think that he could be anyone's boyfriend in SVU but this is different Todd can't do what he wants right like play basketball but hey no one said love and relationship is easy.not to mention life it self.

An enjoyable book to read.

I enjoed reading this book because it shows how a girl caught between two guys she cares about feels. It also makes you realize how the guys feel in this situation. although some of the things that happen to the characters is pretty incredible, it just adds to the excitement.

I've never read anything like it... and I don't mean that in a good way.

I read A LOT. I have four full bookshelves and a Kindle filled with a variety of fiction and non-fiction works. Keep that in mind as I tell you that this bears the prestigious achievement of being the most disjointed and incoherent book I've ever read. And I use the term "book" loosely. The most accurate way I can think to describe it would be to say it looks like the author attended a lecture and took a bunch of notes with the intention of writing a book. Then, when he tried to actually write it, he realized that he had no grammatical skills (which is evident throughout), so he just said, "screw it," and published the notes.

Here's an example: "Later, you try other patterns than what run your life on, to discover what they really mean." What? That's word for word, letter for letter. Here's another: "Next, you learn and explore new patterns sufficiently, that GROWING into the next best set of patterns for you, WONT be traumatic, and it won't require TRAUMA. Read that twice." I think I read it twice the first time I read it. Then I ignored the redundancy and tried to read it again and, then gave up, and now I, write, like this because, I forgot ho,w, to use c,o,m,m,a,s. These two sentences are not even close to the worst examples in the book. They both just happened to be on the last page I read when I decided I wasn't going to continue reading it.

Seriously, though, this thing is a chore to read and makes very little sense. As I write this review, there are only two other reviews for this book. They're 4 and 5 stars, which blows my mind. I'd accuse the author of writing them, but I know that's not possible because I can actually read the reviews without getting a sharp pain in my head.

This Guy Knows His Stuff

I've been studying under 20/20 (the former John Wingert) for years.

I swear--the guy knows his stuff. He makes NLP useable in daily life.

I took the one year training this book is based on. Reading this book can't replace the live training. And I bet some of it will be confusing without the live class. But if you don't learn a lot from it about adopting the patterns of successful people, I'd be shocked.

At this price, the book's a steal. (The live course was pretty expensive but worth it.) Grab it.

If the big one ever hits here in California, I'd grab my 20/20 materials and leave the Bandler, Grinder, Robbins and other NLP stuff on the shelf. That's no exaggeration. 20/20 is the real deal.

Learn modelling the easy way

This is what I was able to do after reading the book only once so that you could see how this book transforms me.

I bought this ebook yesterday , after reading it throught and watching the free modelling videos from the author on Tim Ferris
(they will teach you how to model in the best simple manner I have ever found , and yes I have read a LOT of NLP books ,and yet never found it sooooo simple and easy to do, but don't believe my word , just look on youtube twenty twenty tim ferriss)

I was so motivated that I took an ebook that I could never apply it fully in my life because I was focusing on content so applying the lessons created ressistance in myself , BUT this ebook taught me the importance of focus yourself on the process in an easy manner because now I know for the first time I have figure it out the way of sorting of the author, I discovered that the mindset I had was different , now I know how to think like him and so it is easy for me to put the learning into practice, because when you change your mindset the actions change don't you think?

besides this, this ebook includes modelling's examples on neville goddard , the best notes of his books ,so that you can learn from the great examples given, and a modelling project on Napoleon Hill , now I don't know about you but lots of people read that book but never took action on it, know you have the job already done because you will discover a modelling project made on his books and you will integrate his mindset so that you can take action in an easy manner.

This beautiful, fat book contains informative and inspiring biographical sketches of women scholars. The careers of these amazing women raise subtle and important questions about the obstacles historically encountered by women seeking to engage the life of the mind. There have been many books written about the careers of male scholars and editors, of which *The Professor and the Madman* is only the most famous. No other book tells the stories of such women. These stories are not scandalous, but they are true, and they are indeed and for the most part heartening.

Should Be Required Reading For Everyone

Beau Henderson's magnificent and life-changing book, "The RichLife: Ten Investments For True Wealth" goes far beyond the typical "how to get and stay wealthy" manual. Instead of giving the shopworn platitudes about things like budgeting and investing, Henderson has taken a more holistic approach. Henderson states at the beginning that in order to achieve true wealth and contentment, one must nurture their riches from several points of view, including the emotional, rational and, perhaps most importantly, spiritual. "The RichLife" is a clarion call at a time of national crisis for a principled approach to wealth creation; a step-by-step guide to the basic principles or "investments" which will bring true financial peace of mind, as well as a healthier society.

Henderson, a seasoned financial planner and founder of RichLife Advisors, warns the reader early in his book that they are in for some shocking insights and then proceeds to make a clear and concise case for changing the way we think about wealth. He begins with the story of his own personal epiphany after meeting a highly successful multi-millionaire. Henderson explains this man had just had a "massive heart attack" and appeared to be in failing health. And despite a beautiful household of expensive possessions, the multi-millionaire sadly held out his empty hands to the author and said, "This is what it comes down to." Henderson says that was the night that "a switch went off inside of him" and he understood that many of the things that he believed, many core values, were simply false.

The author contrasts that experience with working with another client who needed help "managing his middle class income," but lived in a home filled with laughter, happiness and love.
Henderson says he now realizes what is important is focusing on a "fulfilled life," which can be accomplished by effective planning and focus, along with decisions and guiding principles. "The Rich Life" is a guide that will give you instructions on "managing all of your assets," from money to relationships and even our health.

Beau Henderson's 10 basic investments include, among others:
* Practicing wise stewardship and taking responsibility for where you are right now.

Rather than considering money the most significant factor in measuring success in business and life, he labels dollars of any denomination "dead presidents on paper."

Enrichment for the Readers: The true RichLife

Beau Henderson goes far further into a philosophy of living than the title of this book suggests. Yes, there is information about investing and about how to handle financial affairs, and if those are the directives the reader is seeking they will not be disappointed in the quality of financial counseling provided. But that is almost a sidebar to what Beau Henderson has to share here. This author, this fellowman, addresses the definition of what exactly is 'a RichLife' and that life is one that is less focused on money than on finding personal satisfaction and happiness as the qualifiers that determine whether or not we are able to achieve a rich life. Early on in his book Henderson states 'the quickest way to attract more of something in your life is to appreciate what you already have', going on to explain that Stewardship of our lives is investment #1: 'Stewardship can be defined as the behavior of an accountable person. Its root word is keeper, meaning on who cares for and manages people and things.' And as he defines and discusses the meaning of assets he shares 'There are three kinds of assets; human, physical, and financial. It is important to show good stewardship over all your assets, not just money.'

Henderson divides his book into 10 investments for true wealth - and surprisingly enough those investments are in ourselves. Identify our gifts and talents and then use them in the service of others. Paraphrasing some of his lucid directives, he views life as a school - lessons are repeated until they are learned, that there are no mistakes, only valuable lessons; he discusses cultivating meaningful relationships - everything you give to others comes back to you; he urges us to create new experiences and follow them; design your own lifestyle by living below your means, saving, making plans for a comfortable retirement; protect your health; and give back to the community.

These are far too quickly stated excerpts from this book. The joy and pleasure of reading Beau Henderson is the straightforward, honest, caring manner in which he writes. Does the book make the reader a millionaire in 10 easy lessons? Well, if the preconceived concept of a millionaire includes hauling wheelbarrows of money to the bank, then no. But if millionaire means finding that place in life where we thrive because we are following the dream within us and making not only ourselves happy and 'wealthy in nature' but we are also nurturing those close to us an those other out there who comprise the population of the world. In Thug Matrimony by Wahida Clark, readers are reintroduced to Angel Smith and Kaylin Santos, the new Bonnie and Clyde. Kaylin crept out of the drug game and owned a new record label and recycling business. Angel had a law practice and was looking forward to being Mrs. Kaylin Santos. On their wedding day, amid all of the hustle and bustle of what should have been a happy occasion, the couple were visited by individuals who were a lot more than unwanted. This appearance caused so much chaos that it threatened not only the wedding, but also the lives of individuals who were no longer playing street games. Would Angel and Kaylin's past create enough friction in the present to destroy their relationship? Or would their struggles strengthen their bond and propel them into the future as husband and wife?

Wahida Clark did her thing in Thug Matrimony. The scenes were vivid and the characters were lively. The sex scenes were erotic and fulfilling. The editing was on point and scene transitions were careful and smooth. There will be a forthcoming addition to the `Thug' series tentatively titled Thug Matrimony, Volume II, which I will definitely get my hands on. I recommend Thug Matrimony to urban fiction fans that enjoy well-rounded stories that do not leave you hanging and have realistic drama.

The Wait Is Finally Over!!!!

Thug Matrimony the highly anticipated sequel to Thugs and The Women Who Love Them and Every Thug Needs A Lady was definately worth the wait!!!!! I can't bear to give away any of the book not even the storyline. All I can say is that all of the characters are back with the book primarily focusing on Kaylin, Angel, Trae, Tasha and of course Snake.

Wahida's Thug series perfectly exemplifies books that are straight hood but dayum good!!!! Anyone who missed out on the frist two should definately get the revised editions along with Thug Matrimony. Everybody who've already read the first two need to run and get their copy of Thug Matrimony!!!!

A snake is a snake every day of the week.....

Hear ye, hear ye, the jury has taken a seat, the judge has banged his gavel, and the verdict is in.....

Wahida has finally quenched our thirst for the long awaited Trae/Tasha finale. Although "Thug Matrimony" is Kay and Angel's story, she answered the question that we have all wanted answered!!!! He's alive!!! Thank GOD for Trae's miraculous recovery!!!

This Thug journey marches on with drama from the wedding crashers, to stalking, pimping, murder, rap beefs, all the way to the Don's of the mafia. So you know that you will not get bored or distracted. Wahida captures your attention from the rooter to the tooter!!

Big ups Wahida!!! Congrats on another best seller and may 2007 be your year!!!
