I just received this in the mail, and I am SO glad I've held out on getting this book!! The 4th edition is so much better than the 3rd!! Not only does it add instructions and step by steps for PhotoShop renderings, it includes a CD that has a video of the author herself doing a step by step of a basic croquis. The book is very daunting at over 500 pages, but the video on the disc gets directly into it and makes it easier to move forward in the book. It throws a lot of information at you at once. LOVE IT though. So glad I have it!

In Alfred's Music for Little Mozarts, students follow their friends Mozarts Mouse and Beethoven Bear in exploration of musical sounds and concepts as they learn to play piano. The workbook has written and listening exercises to strengthen young students' aural skills. There is actually only one coloring assignment, which is to color Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear at the beginning of the book. This can be done for homework if instructors do not want to use up valuable lesson time coloring.

The exercises in the workbook are fun and easy and correspond to exercises in the Little Mozarts lesson book. I recommend using the workbook along with the lesson book, discovery book and flash cards. See my review of the Deluxe Starter Kit, which includes these materials, along with the Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear plush toys.

My one complaint is that the note 'G' is not covered in the first level.

Fun supplement to the Lesson book

I bought this book to use with a 5-year-old piano student of mine. I had started her in the Alfred Basic Prep Level A, which is where I would normally start a kindergarten student. She was instantly taken with the characters. I used the lesson book and this workbook, and she started to make great progress.
Sometimes "theory" can be tough for students to complete. This book has lots of color-by-note and other activities that don't seem like such tough work. (What kid doesn't enjoy coloring?) I think of this more like the Notespeller books from the Prep and Basic series, rather than the Theory books. At any rate, she didn't object to doing any of the activities, so that's good.

Is this a good representation of geomorphology?

Is this book dull or is it the discipline of geomorphology itself? It is broad in scope, drawing in concepts from many disciplines, which one would think would make for an interesting read. However, it touches each topic in a such a shallow manner that it leaves the curious mind wanting for some depth and stimulation. It strikes me as the of level of detail suitable to furnish the know-it-all with simple facts to dazzle the uninformed at parties, but no more. Especially disappointing that I accidentally ordered two. I had to inflct the surplus copy on a friend.

Prothero’s edition included 1,198 letters. This edition has more than 3,000, over 80 percent of them transcribed entirely from the original manuscripts.
In the fifth installment of this marvelous serial story, we read about Byron’s separation from his wife. Besides his pleading letters to Annabella asking her to reconsider, there are level-headed letters to Murray and Hobhouse and Hunt and Rogers―all written during the tempestuous time before his final departure from England. The accounts written during the ensuing summer, of Waterloo and the Rhine and Switzerland, reveal new depths of Byron’s maturing mind. But the very best letters here are the ones from Italy: freed from the inhibitions of English society, Byron’s spirit seems to expand and his letters reflect the joie de vivre that, despite his melancholy, was an inherent part of his character.

this is a great book to get to help you

If you're planning a vacation to Walt Disney World, this is a great book to get to help you! Some other WDW guidebooks are massive - so much so that it actually stressed me out. What I loved about this book is that it tells you what you need to know but is concise enough that I didn't feel overwhelmed. I bought the eBook version and the great thing about the eBook is that it includes links to websites you may need during your planning - all I had to do was click on the link! Easy! Would highly recommend this book!
